Every Vote Counts in Every State for Nader/Camejo

Keep on getting the word out. I found this posted release at the Official Nader/Camejo 2004 website and placed a portion below.
*********************************************************************
October 28, 2004
For Further Information:Kevin Zeese 202.265.4000
*******************************************************************************************************
Washington, DC: Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader today held a press conference to tell the American voter: “You have power with your vote. Use it wisely. Every vote counts. If you oppose the illegal war and occupation in Iraq, vote for a candidate who opposes the war – not one who supports it. If you want health care for all, vote for a candidate that has put forward a plan for health care for all – not those that leave millions without health care. If you believe all full time workers should be able to support themselves and their families on their salary, vote for a candidate who will fight for a living wage – not those that remain silent on the rights of workers.”

What is the Truth

I'm adding a lot of links and blogs with many opinions ideas fact and rumors to this blog but can't tell YOU which ones are right! I add the information and links I find and figure you need to decide with your education and feelings which are correct, which are not. I have my thoughts and express them and make my choices. The same goes for every other individual out here make your own choices. The only thing I ask for people to try is look at all the sides and try to understand their point of view and then move on to have your own:) Yes, in what I call the information overload age it can be frustrating and confusing at times but we all move on...

Blog Poll

Cast your vote here for the candidate you would like to see win the election (It doesn't have to be who you think you will vote for in the election). I'm just curious to what these results could look like. Thanks for voting and adding to this blog!

All votes count!

All the votes count if the candidate loses or wins in what we have come to call the presidential race. Every vote counts for many reasons and not just for who wins. The amount of votes that go to a candidate sending his/her message is going to affect the candidate who wins the race and it is going to affect the future campaigns.

If you want someone that supports workers rights the best and proven candidate on the issue is Ralph Nader. This man wants wages to be effective and to a living standard. He knows how the corporate level works and has effectively won against them for the people over and over. Bush nor Kerry have done this and probably will not in the future.

Nader supports getting minimum wage up to $10.00 and hour quickly to help people meet their current needs to live a decent life. He wants to eliminate federal taxes for people making less then $50,000 a year. Nader wants the American people to be able to get decent healthcare and not for just a limited few that can pay the outrageous price gouged prices of today’s healthcare system; but for everyone that lives in America!

I can go on and on with the talk that makes sense from this man and nothing like it is coming out of the two favored candidates. I don’t see how anyone would vote for Bush or Kerry and not vote for Nader.

A vote for Nader will not only count but send a message to the politicians, media and fellow Americans that we want change and if there are not enough votes for Nader and other candidates like this that will send all these same groups a message also! That message is that you are not happy with what they are doing about war, terrorism, wages, economics, healthcare and more. If you are very happy with the current state of affairs then keep your vote with the Democrats or Republicans and I’m sure they have no problem keeping things the way they are.

Your vote really counts for who ever you vote for and that’s why I will be voting Ralph Nader this election. It is time for some major changes and I plan on voting that way to send my message. I hope you consider doing this too! We need leaders that represent us and not companies, corporations and other countries only. Election time is a time to be heard and I urge you to find out more about Ralph Nader!
We need leaders that support peace and will send a good message to the rest of the world. Ralph Nader will send this message to the rest of the world in sensible and safe way.

Celebrities and Stars

I want to thank all the stars and celebrities that have supported Nader such as Kevin Costner tonight on the Bill Maher show. Please continue supporting this candidate, I will continue my support until next election if this is what it takes. We need candidates like Ralph Nader being heard and I'm waiting for more people to listen to what is really being said by all the candidates and vote for the ones they think are the best and not for who is going to win.

Many stars, celebrities and media keep saying he has something worth saying but he can't win and we need to get Bush out. However, if that prejudice wasn't there and they all went with the best candidate not because they were Democrat or Republican there is a good chance that it might not be the way it is. There is a lot of power in these words when a celebrity or star states they can't win, etc. So please support who you feel is the best not to get someone out, that is an absurd way to choose a candidate!

Keep promoting and voting for Ralph Nader people, he is really for the people and justice unlike the popular ones right now.

Bill vs. Rush

Bill Maher and Rush Limbaugh would be a good spar if they haven't been together already. They can both be funny at times but both take different directions. Neither one of these two will listen to the other side once they are set and moving but they are very charismatic about it. Both these individuals will continue with the show and not compromise but make sure the show goes on. The show does not have to be the truth. It has to support some fundamental thoughts and make you more convicted to that thought. Once done you are theirs and their ratings go up. A lot like the two major candidates today. They just have to feed you a little of what you want not the truth or substance to the issues but what you want. However, the presidential candidate is not a talk show or comedy show and needs more substance.

Bush tells you Kerry will Destroy the country. (fear)
Kerry tells you Bush will Destroy the country. (fear)

Everyone slams everyone else and never gets down to business and really tells the people what they are going to do. Why would they do that? If they do this they can mold whatever happens in the future to what they said; because, it was so general and then all the people go "yippie" that supported him. They both avoid the real issues and do it well. Or they can just say it enough times in paper, TV and radio that many say yes good job, even if it wasn't and they know that.

Is this what we want from a politician? Do you want the politicians to continue telling you nothing and taking care of you? Well guess what Bush or Kerry will not take care of you if you feel things are bad or will get worse these two will not change things at all. They have it to good why would they and they know you will vote them in again. If not they are taken care of anyway. They might as well be on the same ticket.

Ralph Nader has a proven record of getting things done in the government for the people and by the people! Bush and Kerry have just the opposite. Ralph Nader is treating voters with respect that they can think a little and not putting on a charade. Bush and Kerry are. Who will you vote for this election?

I'm going to choose the person that has proof they have helped the people of this country and gives a little respect to the voters!

Look at Kerry's record and resume, look at Bush's record and resume and then look at Nader's record and resume. Once you have done this homework honestly I think most Democrats or Republicans would become a Nader Voter!

Keep It Positive :)

4 of 20 Reasons

Here are 4 of 20 reasons found and copied from the front page of the votenader web site that tell you why you should vote for Ralph Nader this election.

Nader is not for sale.

If you believe that big business’ money is corrupting American politics, vote for the only Presidential candidate who practices campaign finance reform. Ralph Nader is accepting no PAC money, no corporate contributions and no soft money and no support from 527 groups. The other candidates just talk and look for the loophole of the moment. Nader walks the campaign finance reform walk while he advocates public funding and an end to political advantage for sale to the highest bidder.

Nader’s 40-year record of fighting for Americans is well known.

He’s brought us safer cars, a cleaner environment and more open and accountable government. Everyone knows that politics is broken for the average guy and works smoothly for the rich and powerful. The only candidate capable of reforming the system is Ralph Nader because he knows what is broken, why it is broken, and how to fix it.

Nader is the most effective candidate in the race.

In his 40 year career in Washington, he has been the driving forced behind such landmark pieces of legislation as the Motor Vehicle and Highway Safety Acts, The Clean Water Act, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Freedom of Information Act. Nader knows more about the workings of government than the other two candidates. He is also honest when he finds policies and agencies beyond reform without surgical removal of corporate controls.

Nader would never allow activist conservative judges onto federal benches.

Ralph Nader vigorously fought the confirmation of the Supreme Court justices Antonion Scalia and Clarence Thomas. The Democrats held the Senate during the confirmation votes for both justices: they voted 50-0 in favor of Scalia; later, 11 Democrats put Thomas over the top. A vote for Ralph Nader is a vote to fight for impartial, fair Supreme Court justices.

Some Words from Nader

“Our Declaration of Independence proclaims government of the people, by the people, and for the people—not of the Exxons, by the General Motors, for the Wal-Marts,” says Nader.
It’s time to end the corporate occupation of our government and put the people back in power.

Media

Thu, October 28th 11:00am (EDT) Press Conference with Ralph Nader (CNN, C-SPAN 2, & NBC)

A Vote for Ralph Nader

Vote for who you trust.
Vote for some one you think will do the best job; the way you want it done.
Vote your choice.
Look at the pros and cons of the candidates.
(I'm not just talking the Democrats and Republicans.)
Look at the independents.
Look at the other parties.

They are a choice that could win!
There are more independents registered in this country then any other party.
(Think about that! Now if they would only vote that way!)
Lot's of media releases say it's not possible but they are wrong.

Would you get the least of the worst for a babysitter, tutor or anything that meant something to you? So why do this when you vote for a candidate. Vote for the person you feel is best for the job.

There are plenty of pro links, con links, funny links, partisan, non-partisan, indifferent and more just in this blog alone to find out a lot of good information. Take one day and really research your candidate and others and then vote. Don't vote with only the nightly news and commercials; they are not given you the all the information need and much of it is just a marketing ploy.

I say vote for Ralph Nader this election of course you may not agree and that's fine I just ask for you to take a good look at what he stands for and think about it. Thanks

Low Country

Anyone in the low country feel free to check out my twelvers section and add to the ideas, thanks. I think the twelvers idea is excellent. It is a great way to get people motivated and be able to take action in a community! There are just so many good things that can come from small groups like this!

XXIIers

This time is nearing

I think it’s a pretty simple choice. Don’t look at any of the current commercials, news and propaganda. Look at John Kerry’s history and accomplishments. Look at George Bush’s history and accomplishments. Look at Ralph Nader’s history and accomplishments. There is no second guess, in my mind, who benefits the working class and consumer. There is no guessing who would be the best leader for this country! Just look at the facts and I think it will be fairly simple to choose your vote Tuesday!

Vote with an independent mind and not just because someone is Democrat or Republican!

If you haven’t decided who to vote for yet, take a good look at Ralph Nader! If you have decided take another look if you haven’t looked at Ralph Nader! If you decided to vote against Ralph Nader then I say look again! :)

Only if

If half the people that said they just want Bush out voted for Ralph Nader and half the people that said they want to keep Kerry from getting in voted for Ralph Nader, then he would probably win the election.

Tell people they can't

Tell people they can't and they just might not listen to you. I love this one, sometimes even bad publicity can be good publicity for things that are right:) A story I was reading at votenader.com originally published on October 20th, 2004 at www.counterpunch.org and written by David Vest was interesting in my opinion.
-----------
One excerpt here, "To be completely honest, I probably wasn't going to vote for Ralph Nader until they told me I couldn't. I didn't vote for him in 2000. (I wish I had, but that's another story.) But when I found out they weren't even going to give me the choice, it rubbed me the wrong way.
Well everyone have a great day and remember to vote Nader!

Here is an interesting written post I saw over at WatchBlog:

Wasted Votes

"Most everyone has heard the argument before. “If you are going to vote for a third party candidate, you’re just throwing your vote away!” I’ve heard it over and over again, usually by partisans who are worried that their candidate will lose and are trying to win you over to ‘their side’. But who is really wasting their votes?"

Take the Poll

I added many of the Presidential Candidates to the poll below. Did you know you had this many choices? Actually, I know I missed some but you can get a better list of candidates at VoteSmart.

Well let see how things shape up if you have a poll with a few more choices. I'm curious myself so please take the time to click on who you would like to vote for and see what the results will be.

Let's throw a twist in here to the question: In this poll just vote for who you would really like to see win not necessarily who you will vote for or think will win!

Eureka! I've found it! I feel I have when it comes to the Nader/Camejo 2004 they have the strength, character and fortitude to forge on in good and new directions. I'm ready how about you?

Oak Tree
"The Oak Tree - Strength and Integrity"

"Ralph Nader and Peter Miguel Camejo have 40-year records working for health, safety, economic well-being, civil rights and democracy. Ralph Nader was instrumental in the passage of the Auto and Highway Safety Acts, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Freedom of Information Act, as well as the founding of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) among other breakthroughs for the people, in addition to starting over 100 nonprofit citizen groups. Peter Miguel Camejo marched with Dr. Martin Luther King in Alabama, fought for minorities everywhere, helped found the Green Party of California and today chairs a company that helped pioneer the socially responsible investing (SRI) movement. The Nader/Camejo 2004 campaign does not accept any money from corporations, commercial interests or Political Action Committees (PAC's)-only from individuals."

These should be the people you are looking at and considering this election.

Faulty Information

Faulty information but information... :( this type of information is what so many people base their choices on, false pretenses and information they hear. Now, if your going off of the polls that politicians and media pick up like this: PollingPoint; what good is the information when polls are worded like their top one: "Cast your vote for Bush or Kerry in our presidential election survey."

Look at what this can lead you to believe. When you are using only what the media or politicians are telling you and not making the choices of who you think is the best choice; you leave yourself open to easy manipulation!

All the candidates are going to use the polls that benefit them and does any one tell you what polls and statistics they used in their campaign. Of course they will not if they did you would realize that the information was useless.

Open your heart and mind and vote your choice not what the media is saying will be the winners!

Respect Yourself

Do not vote for the least worse or to get someone else out. It is not the end of the world and if it is you are not going to change it unless you vote for who is the best choice. The best choice is what is in your heart and what you know is right! Look at what these candidates stand for, please!

Police DRAG AWAY NADER Campaigners

Let's see doesn't this sound very familiar to the many Bush tactics. I think hide the opinions we don't want away around the corner, even if they are not protesters just people speaking their mind or expressing an opinion in peaceful way:

"Nader Campaigners Manhandled at Edwards Rally Arrest Washington, DC: Yesterday afternoon, at a John Edwards Rally in Tamarac, Florida, two young Nade/Camejo campaigners—Jessica Kochick (22) and Emily Brackett (20)—held up signs reading “Vote Nader/Camejo” and “Kerry/Edwards Supports War in Iraq.” From the podium, John Edwards asked them to move to the back of the room. When Ms. Brackett and Ms. Kochick held their ground, a male Kerry/Edwards supporter manhandled Ms. Kochick, placing her in a headlock. Rather than restraining the man who placed Kochick in a headlock, the police dragged Ms. Kochick herself away by her hands and feet. The two young women were each charged with disorderly conduct—for holding up Nader signs."

Am I surprised at the above conduct? No not at all!

In the Media

Sat, October 23rd 11:00am (EDT) Ralph profiled on People in the News (CNN)

Take the time to really listen

Have we lost our minds? How can people vote for Bush or Kerry? Have we forgotten that this has been a growing problem for well over a decade? Everything goes up, up, up in price and most people's wages are going down, down, down. How many people know someone that is not getting needed medical care because they can't afford it? How many people have heard the phrase "well at least you/I have a job"? How many people are extending their credit? How many people are watching their children go to war torn countries? We have lots of CEO's making $5,000.00 an hour yet how many people can't squeeze $10.00-$20.00 hour out of their company?

We continue to destroy the environment around us and we have the technology to do better. We spend more monies on medical then any other industrial nation yet have more people die from lack of treatment then all the others to. The money is there in the companies to spread a little better in business but greed contains it to a few. The solutions are here for healthcare, education, wages and war, environment but the people we allowed to have too much power are not going to give up their spoils with out a fight. We will have to fight to get anything back!

If you plan on voting for Bush or Kerry don't expect things to get better! Get use to the words such as we need you to work harder, longer and give a little more. Get use to the words there just isn't enough to go around. Hope you get healthcare when you need it. Get used to the way it is now and much worse. Get use to no real answers for where and when we go to war. Get use to losing more of your rights. Yes this is what is going to continue unless we stand up and show we want drastic change and voting Kerry in will not be a drastic change just some of the same with a different twist. Take a little time and listen to some of the Nader audio blogs, mock debate and read issue answers.

I really hope people sit back and really listen to all the candidates and hear what they are saying and not only what they are trying to convince people of. If you think about it all, it doesn't have to be complicated at all to see the truth.

A Good Vote & One That Counts

I will be casting my vote for a candidate that I believe in. I will be sending my message for change. I will be making more people aware of this candidate. I will be telling the media this is a viable candidate to watch. I will be telling powers to be you can’t just get rid of these other candidates. I will be supporting democracy. I will be continuing to support this candidate for next election. I will be helping my future, my children’s future and this countries future. You know what I think? When I cast a vote for Nader I will be a WINNER. I hope a lot more people decide to cast their vote for Nader this election and send a strong message to the current politicians. I think the more people that do the louder the message will be!

These are only a few of these reasons I will be voting for Nader find out some of the reasons yourself at votenader.org

"The idea that the choice in this country is between the bad and the worse and we should all shut up, get in line and choose between them represents just how decadent and how decayed our political system is," he said. Reply from votenader

I listen to lots of propaganda but the one about the republicans are supporting Nader is weak in my opinion. Here is a press release at the votenader site. OK, if you looked into all the funds provided to all the candidates and who they came from, I'm sure there could be all types of conspiracy theories. I think it is a good idea to look into who was funded by who, how much, why and how; however, I also think we need to be a little cautious on accusations and make sure they are real before they are made. I hate to think people are making choices on Urban Legends rather then the facts.

Twelver Team Blog (Unofficial)

I’m starting kind of another section here. It will be under my other blogs to the top right of the page. This will be a Virtual Twelvers Blog meant to have many team members that can post too. The intention of this section is to have a place for twelvers and other supporters to let others know what they are doing. Talk about their trails, successes or just chat. A place for people to add ideas, ask questions or give advice. Bring your whole crew or just yourself. Let people know and start gathering now for this election and next.

Let me know if you are interested. My email is

I know it’s later in the game for this election but I don’t plan on shutting this down after this election. I figure it will be a good thing to keep going for the next four years at least. Possibly a way to keep the momentum flowing!

More on the Candidates

This is not just a blog for pro Nader information. Obviously, I like seeing the pro material and comments in this blog and lean that way (if it wasn't obvious). I have linkage to pro and con on many of the candidates to include pro and con links about Nader. I like to see, hear and read things from all points of view. I'm obviously going to come up with my own opinions with the information and hope that others have the opportunity to form their own with the information that lands up in the blog. This is an unofficial blog supporting Nader and I do go on with my other political ramblings here and there too. I hope you find it useful and share your thoughts if you would like. I just request that we try and show each other respect while we are here and with what we are posting that others will read. Thanks again for all the support out there!

Tonight and in the Future

Sun, October 17th 12:00pm (EDT) Ralph on Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer (CNN).

Well realistically this time around does look dim for Nader actually becoming president. However, that gives me four more years to post and promote this candidate. I figure neither Kerry or Bush are going to change the current state of affairs in this country a whole lot. So a bright side of this is I get to say I told you so either way. My vote will go to Nader this election and most likely the next if someone else doesn't get up there and start speaking the truth. We need some serious change, real ethics and real hope...

I hope you enjoy and find them useful. Let me know if you know of others that you feel should be added or add them into the comments!

NaderNow

Change Your Mind Now

Change your mind now and send a message to the current politicians that we want real change! Vote Nader/Camejo 2004. It's interesting that the media is actually listing three candidates in many of the polls. Why not all the candidates? Is this fair treatment to these other candidates that don't get mentioned?

It's time for the media to give all the candidates fair coverage. Don't keep saying Bush and Kerry or both candidates and brainwashing the public that there are no other choices, when there are! I will not blame the media exclusively either. They are a business and need to run like one. It is up to the people to find out and speak up for the people they want elected. It is up to us to let the media know we want to know more on the other candidates.

If people want change they shouldn't be looking at Kerry for that change! They shouldn't be looking at Bush for change. They should be looking into alternative individuals and parties. Learn more about these other candidates and stop saying they couldn't win. The reason they can't is because people are handing their votes over to people they really don't want in office. However, they think they are the only ones that have a chance to win. Change is not going to happen that way.

If there was a national debate that focused on all the candidates. If there was unbiased coverage of all the candidates consistently wether they had a chance to win or not then there would be a very different voting outcome then there is now.

That is not what is going on and people hear over and over again, Bush and Kerry, both the candidates, etc. It is time for the media to be covering all the candidates and the issues.

It's also time for the American people to start writing to newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, internet forums and all other media outlets and letting them know we want to see ALL the candidates and their views. We are the ones that will make that happen not the media. The media will not spend the money or the resources unless we demand it. It can happen and I strongly believe that the time is coming that a Republican or Democrat Party Member will not be the choice for the White House. I would love to see it this time around(realistically the numbers are not good, I know that; but my voice will be heard.). If not I will be working very hard and continuously to make it happen the next time around and the next time until it happens.

What Americans don't root for the underdog any more, even when the underdog is speaking better words about the real issues? Or do we just pick a winner so we feel better later that day? Then we get to sit back and say it really hasn't changed much has it.
